The sewing team basically had to reattach the lining and rehem them. Their cleaining team also was able to remove the stains. I was looking for an interim solution for repair and cleaning of my high-end, custom but very aged and sun-worn roller blinds, which I will eventually replace. Rather than letting me proceed with cleaning (at Drape Master’s reasonably priced quote), Don from Drape Master reviewed the condition of my blinds and recommended that I not proceed with the cleaning because given their worn condition the risk of damage to my ancient blinds was greater than the benefits of cleaning. Drape Master did an excellent job with the repair (replacing a unique clutch at a reasonable cost), which had to be done to keep the blinds functional until I’m ready to replace them. Don also gave me very valuable information and recommendations on current alternatives for blind replacement, for when I’m ready to do that and I will certainly consider working with Drape Master again at that time. I found Drape Master online, called and spoke to Rebecca in customer service, and took the blinds in for cleaning. Their installer Don, brought the blinds back and rehung them after cleaning. During the cleaning process they found and replaced broken parts and the rehanging was challenging because whoever took them down was not careful and some of the original mounting hardware was not installed correctly. Quote and pickup arrangements handled well. Cheaper than other quotes we found. Took all blinds down, took them away to clean (ultrasound?), and reinstalled them a week or nore later. Took several days longer than I expected, but installation was good and painless (including a particularly tricky large, high blind that required some lateral thinking and balancing on a table!). The first time I used their services they fixed a linen drape which I thought had no hope , there was a rip in the linen and some blood stains. After renovating bathrooms in our home, we had the entire house painted, timeline was much quicker than we planned and we had to move fast. Don worked with me to make sure they could have a technician out to the house ahead of the painters to remove all of our blinds, drapes and area rugs for cleaning....this needed to happen within about 2 days of my initial contact. They accommodated my request and When Max showed up at expected time, he was amazing! Organized, methodical, careful, respectful, efficient. The overall cost was high as we had a lot of volume to have cleaned, but high value for the money, worth every penny. I had contacted Hunter Douglas to get pricing of replacing vs. cleaning and it was, of course, no comparison. They happened to say that they only recommended a company called "Drape Master" to clean their products.....that certainly sealed the deal after other research I had done.
